DAY TOUR OF CHIANTI CASTLE, BROLIO CASTLE, AND ALBOLA CASTLE

Arrive to the Castle of Brolio which is one of the most important castles of the Chianti area. It dominates the Chianti Classico countryside and its owners have been the Ricasoli family since 1141. At the castle you can visit the Garden with the historic beautiful park “English Woods” with trees from around the world. You can visit the Church and enjoy the view from the walls of the Chianti landscape. At the end of our visit you can have a small wine tasting with great Chianti wines in the enoteca of Baron Ricasoli.
After your visit to the castle we will drive to the restaurant for lunch in the middle of the “Le Vigne” vineyards, there you can taste typical food from the Chianti area, papardelle with wild boar sauce or the famous Bistecca fiorentina (Florentine steak).
After lunch you have free time to visit the charming mediaeval town of Radda in Chianti. At Radda in Chianti you can enjoy a fantastic view from the town walls, visit the tunnels with the restaurant and enoteca wine shop Casa Porciati, and buy some souvenirs at the typical local shops.
The tour continues to the Castle of Albola. This Castle is situated in the heart of the Chianti area and dates from the 13 th/14 th century. Today the winery and Castle are owned by the Zonin family. At the winery you can have a tour of the historic wine cellars and taste olive oil and a selection of wines: Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, Chianti Classico Riserva, il Solatio, and Vin Santo del Chianti Classico.
