CHIANTI CLASSICO WINE TOUR

Arrive to Castellina in Chianti with free time for visiting the town and doing some shopping.
From La Rocca tower (14th century) you can see an amazing view of the city and you can visit the 15th century underground passage built for defense purposes. The main street, Via Feruccio, is the shopping area where you can buy your souvenirs from local shops.
The tour continues to the Quercetto winery forlunch and wine tasting.
The Quercetto winery is a scenic 15 minute drive from Castellina in Chianti. At the winery you will have a tour of the vineyards and the wine cellar with an explanation of the wine production. For the lunch you can enjoy typical food from the Chianti area and you can taste a selection of wines: Chainti Classico DOCG, Furtivo IGT, Toscana Rosato, Podalirio ITG, and Chianti Classico Gran Selezione.
After lunch you have free time for visiting the charming mediaeval town of Radda in Chianti. At Radda in Chianti you can enjoy a fantastic view from the town walls, visit the tunnels with the restaurant and enoteca wine shop Casa Porciati, and buy some souvenirs at the typical local shops.
The tour continues to the Castle of Albola. The Castle is situated in the heart of the Chianti area, dating from the 13 th/14 th century. Today the winery and castle are owned by the Zonin family. At the winery you can have a tour of the historic wine cellars and taste olive oil and a selection of wines: Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, Chianti Classico Riserva, il Solatio, and Vin Santo del Chianti Classico.
