Wine and cheese tour in Montepulciano and Pienza
9:00am Depart from your hotel or accommodation
Arrive to Pienza, the town famous for its production of pecorino cheese. Visit the town along with free time for shopping and a small cheese tasting at one of the most famous cheese stores in Pienza.
After your visit to Pienza we will depart for the cheese factory in the beautiful area of Val d’Orcia. There you can have a tour of the factory where you will see the production of pecorino cheese and ricotta cheese. After the tour you can enjoy a light lunch with wine, prosciutto, salumi, and a selection of pecorino cheeses. During your lunch you can enjoy an amazing view of the Orcia Valley from your table.
Depart from Pienza for one of the famous wineries between Montepulciano and Cortona. Visit the wine cellar with an explanation of the production of wine followed by wine tasting with five different types of wine.
