Also, Poliziano was teacher to the Medici children. Montalcino Montalcino is a beautiful village of Tuscany immersed in the breathtaking Val d’Orcia Natural Park, famous all over the world for the production of its precious Brunello red wine. This beautifull town has scarcely changed in appearance since the 16th century. One of the world’s best and most appreciated Italian wines its Brunello wine. Montalcino was already famous for its red wines during the 15th century. But, the formula of the fantastic Brunello wine was invented in 1888 by Ferruccio Biondi Santi. Brunelo wine is 100 % of Sangiovese grapes. Before the Brunello is ready, it must age for 5 years take place in oak barrels, while the Rosso of Montalcino is ready after 2 year of aging. Amongst the many wine producers in the area you will find Biondi-Santi, Banfi, Casanova di Neri, Barbi and many others. Montalcino have also very rich in artistic treasures.
